Aamir Khan Says He's Always Available To Help Government Bodies: 'Many Times They've Requested...'

Aamir Khan has been busy promoting his ex-wife Kiran Rao’s upcoming release, Laapataa Ladies. The actor has doubled up as the producer of the film. Ahead of the release, Aamir was seen attending a conclave with Kiran by his side where he was asked about several topics. One of which was about his work with the government bodies. The actor was asked if he has ever been approached by government officials or fans to help in a diplomatic situation. Aamir Khan said he is always available to all government bodies for any kind of help they require.

Speaking with TV9 during their conclave, Aamir said, “Kai daffa, sarkaar jo hai, ya jo bhi alag alag sarkaare jo hai wo public social messages ke liye request karti hai toh humesha main uske liye haazir rehta hoon (Many times, different government bodies have requested me to help with social messages. I am always available for that. So yes, I try and help in any way I can).”

Besides speaking about his public work, Aamir also confirmed he will be making his comeback on the big screen this year. “My next film as a lead actor, which has just begun filming, is Sitaare Zameen Par. We are trying to release it by the end of this year, on the occasion of Christmas. It is an entertaining film, I like the story. The shooting of the film has begun,” he said.

“But besides that, you will be able to see me not as a lead actor in the film but I am doing a few things. Let’s see how the audience reacts,” Aamir said, before added, “I am doing a few small roles.”
