The film centres around happiness, and even resentment within a family.

New Delhi: It's a family that prays together, eats together and are now in a film together. Its the Deol men - Dharmendra, Bobby and Sunny - and the film is aptly called Apne.

And Dharmendra made a very emotional appeal to all. "Please go watch the film," he said to his fans of the family drama which hits the cinemas this Friday.

The film centres around the happiness, joy and even resentment within a family but ultimately says that blood ties withstand all strife.

Directed by the Deol favourite, Anil Sharma, and shot in various locations including Punjab, Canada and Bangkok, Apne sees Dharmendra in the same frame with sons Sunny and Bobby for the first time.

At the press conference to promote the film in New Delhi, the elder Deol took charge and regaled the audience with anecdotes one after another.

When Bobby did get the mike, he spoke about how daddy's presence still unnerved him.

"I was really nervous around him," said the junior most Deol.

But to find out whether their nervousness, emotions, comedy, tragedy and drama hit the right spot, one will just have to check it out in the cinemas this weekend.

What's your reaction?
