New Delhi: The supporters of Aam Aadmi Party Convenor Arvind Kejriwal were allegedly rough-handled at the Narela police station on the outskirts of Delhi on Saturday. The AAP workers were at the police station in the morning demanding that a FIR be registered in a rape attempt case.

The case pertained to a rape bid on a four-year-old by her neighbours on November 25. Sources said that after the intervention of Kejriwal, the AAP workers managed to get an FIR filed. Meanwhile, three policemen were also suspended.

Speaking to CNN-IBN, Kejriwal said, "The parents of the girl called up the police on the 27th, the police came but did not do anything for the next three days. Yesterday, the father contacted some activists. After the activists did some hungama, police took her to the hospital. A medical examination has been done, but doctors say it is too late for evidence. Two beat constables and the investigative officer have been suspended."

Police has also promised action against the accused.
