Preparations of Diwali 2024 are in full-swing as the festival of lights draws near. Not only people in India are gearing up for the festivities, those staying abroad are equally enthusiastic to have a gala time with their friends and families during the occasion. This global spirit was captured in a heartwarming video that showed New Zealand police performing Bhangra during a Diwali event.
The host announces at the start of the video, “Now we begin with the Punjabi folk dance… Bhangra.” Two police officials soon enter the stage in their uniforms. They are eventually joined by a couple of other cops. As the group of people from different ethnic backgrounds performs the traditional dance to a lively song, they are amazing with every move.
“New Zealand cops performing live Bhangra,” Yaj Patel shared the video on Instagram and captioned it. The police officials performed at the Auckland Diwali festival, according to a text inset on the video.

In another video, cops were also seen dancing to the hit song Jhoome Jo Pathaan from the Shah Rukh Khan film, Pathaan.
