Recognise This Bollywood Actress From Her Childhood Snaps; Hint - She's A National Award Winner

Vidya Balan is one of the most promising figures in Hindi cinema. She often makes headlines with her acting prowess and authoritative mindset. Recently, some of her childhood pictures are making a roar on social media.

In one of the viral pictures, the actress was seen wearing a frock and sporting a curly hairstyle. The actress looked cute beaming a radiant persona as she posed for the lens. In another photo, she was seen sitting on her father’s lap alongside her family as she posed for the lens. Another photo from her childhood went viral where her mother is seen holding her as she smiles for the camera.

Vidya Balan rose to prominence with films including Kahaani, The Dirty Picture, and Lage Raho Munna Bhai. The actress last appeared in the film Neeyat. She made her Bollywood debut with the 2005 film Parineeta.

The actress holds a degree in Sociology and is proficient in Tamil, English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Bengali. While pursuing her MA at Mumbai University, she was offered a role in a Malayalam film called Chakram alongside the southern superstar Mohanlal. However, the project was halted midway. It was then that the renowned director Pradeep Sarkar offered her the lead role in Parineeta. Vidya underwent 40 screen tests and 17 makeup shoots before being selected for the role.

Before her Bollywood debut, she appeared in music videos for renowned artists like Euphoria, Pankaj Udhas, and Shubha Mudgal. Some of her other notable projects include Guru, Paa, Heyy Babyy, Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, Mission Mangal and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Soon, the actress is going to feature in a slew of upcoming films such as Do Aur Do Pyaar, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Sujoy Ghosh’s directorial.

Directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta, Do Aur Do Pyaar stars Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, and Illeana D’Cruz in leading roles. Other actors include Sendhil Ramamurthy, Thalaivasal Vijay, Rekha Kudligi, Priti Shroff, Akshay Bhagat, Veenah Naair, and Arihant Bothra among others in crucial roles. The film was produced by Vipin Agnihotri, and the cinematography of the film was handled by Kartik Vijay.
