Two Bangalore blast suspects sent to jail
The two suspects - Umar Farooq and Ibrahim Moulavi - were brought to Bangalore late on Saturday and sent to jail till October 25.

Bangalore: Two more suspects in the 2008 serial blasts in Bangalore, arrested on Friday, were sent to jail till October 25 by a court here, police said on Sunday.

The two — Umar Farooq and Ibrahim Moulavi — were brought to Bangalore late on Saturday and were produced before the First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Venkatesh Hulagi who remanded them in judicial custody till October 25, a police spokesperson said on Sunday.

Umar Farooq was held in Ajmer in Rajasthan and Ibrahim Moulavi in Kasargod in Kerala, Bangalore city police commissioner Shankar Bidari told reporters here on Saturday.

One woman was killed and 15 people were injured when eight low-intensity explosions hit Bangalore on July 25, 2008.

The prime accused is T Nasir who is said to be associated with Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba. He is in jail in Bangalore.

The police have named 32 people in the charge sheet in the blasts case. Bidari said nine more suspects were absconding and "our information is they are staying in various countries".

"We are making efforts to get them," he added.
