Urfi Javed Condemns Kangana Ranaut Slap Incident, Says 'Not Cool, Voilence Is Never The Answer'
Earlier today, Devoleena Bhattacharjee also extended her support to Kangana Ranaut and called the slap incident "deeply troubling".

Urfi Javed has condemned the Kangana Ranaut slap incident. On Friday, the actress took to her Instagram stories and penned down a note expressing disappointment. Urfi mentioned that even though she does not agree with Kangana’s political ideology, she believes that violence is never the answer.

“Don’t agree with Kangana Ranaut politically but I still feel it ain’t right to physically assault someone when you disagree with them. Not cool. Violence is never the answer,” she wrote.

Urfi Javed is not the first television actress to condemn violence on Kangana Ranaut. Earlier today, Devoleena Bhattacharjee also extended her support to the newly-elected MP and called the slap incident “deeply troubling”. She penned down a long note on her X handle and questioned those who are supporting the CISF personnel.

“It is deeply troubling to learn about the incident involving Kangana Ranaut and a CISF officer during a security check-in. Such actions represent a severe breach of public trust and security protocols. A duty-bound officer should never allow personal grudges to interfere with their professional responsibilities. This incident raises significant concerns about the safety and security of every citizen when personal vendettas are acted upon in such a manner,” a part of Devoleena’s note read.

“Supporting the actions of this CISF officer means justifying a crime and spreading unnecessary hatred. It is crucial to remember that endorsing such behaviour sets a dangerous precedent, potentially allowing others to take personal revenge under the guise of authority. We must collectively condemn this act and ensure that those in positions of power are held accountable,” it added.

On Thursday, Kangana Ranaut was travelling to New Delhi when she was slapped by an on-duty female CISF constable at the Chandigarh Airport. The female CISF staff identified as Kulwinder Kaur was unhappy with Kangna’s comment on Punjab ladies during the farmers’ agitation against the three farm laws, suggesting they participated in the protest for money. The lady constable was arrested later in the evening.

Later, Kangana also issued a video statement to talk about the incident and questioned “terrorism” in Punjab. “Namastey dosto! I have been getting a lot of phone calls from the media and my well-wishers. I am safe, I am perfectly fine. What happened at the Chandigarh airport today was during the security check. When I left after the security check, the CISF personnel hit me on my face. She abused me. When I asked her why she did it, she told me that she supports farmers’ protests. I am safe but my concern is, how do we handle terror in Punjab?” she said.
