Prototype for charging electric cars on the move

CHENNAI: An innovative technology that may be a solution for fuelling the future cars — battery operated four wheelers — has been invented by a team of students from across the world, of which a student of city based Anna University was a part.The prototype for the innovative technology was created by a team consisting of six students, including K Sakthivel, a final year B Tech student from MIT, Anna University. “Our prototype is viable for practical use in Western countries, which we showcased to the top brass of the automobile industry across world at the 11th edition of the Michelin Challenge Bibendum in Berlin last month,” he said.Using this technology, cars running on electricity can be recharged inside huge buses while on the move.
