India will face Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series next month. The series opener is scheduled to take place in Gwalior on October 6, and the next two matches will be played in Delhi and Hyderabad.

The Bangladesh men’s cricket team will travel to India later this week to take part in a two-match Test series and then face the 2024 T20 World Cup winners in a three-match T20I series in October. The first Test between India and Bangladesh is scheduled to take place at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from September 19, and Green Park Stadium in Kanpur will host the second red-ball match from September 27.

The three T20Is between India and Bangladesh will be played in Gwalior, Delhi, and Hyderabad on October 6, 9, and 12, respectively.

Ahead of the start of the bilateral series against Bangladesh, star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya took to Instagram on Tuesday (September 10) to share pictures of taking part in a practice session. He shared four pictures of him in the photo and video sharing social media platform and captioned the post, “Picking up the pace.”

Pandya was one of the top performers for India in the T20 World Cup 2024. The 30-year-old cricketer served as Rohit’s deputy in the 20-team tournament played in the USA and West Indies and picked up three wickets in the final played against South Africa at the Kesington Oval on June 29.

His last appearance for India was against Sri Lanka in Pallekele during the third and final T20I of the three-match series played on July 30.

He was not available for selection in the ODI series against the Charith Asalanka-led side, which India lost by a margin of 0-2 in the first week of August 2024. Hardik wasn’t included in any of the four squads picked by the BCCI selectors for first-round matches of the Duleep Trophy as well.

Hardik’s record vs Bangladesh

Hardik has played in five T20Is for India against Bangladesh in the last eight years and has scored 101 runs in addition to taking up six wickets. In his last match for India against the Asian rivals, Hardik top-scored for India first by making 50 runs from 27 balls in North Sound on June 22, 2024, and then picked up one wicket for 32 runs in his quota of three overs.
