Katta to attend Council meeting Tuesday

BANGALORE: After missing four BBMP monthly Council meetings, finally Vasanth Nagar Councillor Katta Jagadish will attend the meeting on Tuesday.Jagadish who was in jaied in connection with a KIADB land scam since August 8 was granted conditional bail by Lokayukta Special Court on December 14. Opposition leader M Udayshankar had demanded Mayor Sharadamma to disqualify Jagadish under  Section 26(2)(c) of the Karnataka Municipal Act 1976 for not attending three consecutive BBMP council meetings. When0 contacted, Jagadish said that he would be attending the meeting. “I have some two to three major issues related to my ward and I will raise those issues,” he said.The issue of pay and parking is expected to come for the subject meeting on Tuesday. “In a city like Bangalore, pay and parking is very much needed. But these people want to implement without planning. We will raise this issue,” he said.
