KOCHI: A case of chain snatching was reported on Thursday when two youths travelling on a motor bike snatched the chain of a woman at Kunnumpuram. The incident occurred when Alice, 40, a Manjummal native was returning to her house from Kunnumpuram. She is an employee of a private company at Kunnumpuram. According to Alice, two men wearing white T-shirts and black jeans riding a Black Pulsar approached her and snatched the 2.5 sovereign gold chain on the isolated road near Kunnumpuram bus stand. Even though she shouted for help no one was there to help. Later, she reached a nearby house and informed them of the incident. She was taken to the Cheranalloor police station and a case has been registered. The information has been passed to all police stations in the city and culprits are expected to land in police net soon, a police official said.
