Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, has lived up to its reputation as one of the most renowned quiz series on television. One of the recent episodes features Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’s actors Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan, and was telecast on October 18, 9 PM. In this episode, Big B reminisced about his favourite actress Waheeda Rehman. The veteran actor also expressed his regret about never having the opportunity to act opposite the legendary actress Meena Kumari. He was discussing the 1962 cult film Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam. Big B said, “I never got the opportunity to work with Meena Kumari ji. In Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam, there’s a song – Na jaao saiyaan where she performed so gracefully that I found myself watching her continuously. The art of sitting in one place quietly, singing the song and coupled with her radiance, the effects used to be marvellous.

Big B reminisced about how the makers used to take long shots back then and he thought that was the beauty of it all. Unlike today, The KBC 16 host said that every shot ends in just a few words. Talking about Waheeda Rehman, the Black actor spoke about how that particular shot in the song captured such exquisite emotion and artistry, truly showcasing her brilliance.

Amitabh Bachchan called it a beautiful shot and said that it took two or three takes to light up that close-up. He said that these days, it all happens so quickly, but back then, it was never like that.

Amitabh Bachchan recently played an important role in the action crime drama film Vettaiyan, written and directed by TG Gnanavel. This film stars Rajinikanth, Fahadh Faasil, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, Abhirami, Rana Daggubati and others in important roles. Based on the concept of police encounters, this film received mixed reviews from the critics and the audience.
