West Bengal: 30 people have been injured in a train accident in East Midnapore in West Bengal on Friday.

The accident occurred when the Howrah Sambhalpur express dashed against the rear of a Kharagpur-Howrah local train.

Most of the injured are passengers of the local train. No deaths have been reported so far.

The incident was caused due to failure in the auto signaling system, railway sources said.

All train services on the section have been suspended after the accident.

Senior Railway officials rushed with a relief train to accommodate the stranded passengers.
