24-year-old man hacked to death in city

BANGALOARE: A 24-year-old man was hacked to death near Siddapura police station limits on Wednesday. The victim Syed Imtiaz was in a relationship with one Shabnam. Reportedly the girl’s parents were against the relationship. The couple had eloped eight months back. Following the incident, Imtiaz’s brother was beaten by Shabnam’s father, Iqbal. Hearing the news, Imtiaz had returned.  However, the lovers were in contact. Imtiaz was hacked to death when he had gone  to Guttenahalli. Police suspect Shabnam’s family might have been involved in the murder.
