In a horrific incident, three men in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow attacked stray dogs outside a house with sticks leaving them badly injured. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media causing massive outrage.
In the video, reportedly recorded in Lucknow’s Saadatganj area, three individuals could be seen attacking two dogs resting in front of a gate, seemingly in response to the dogs barking at them.
The accused thrashed the dog with sticks. While one of them escaped the spot without any harm, the other dog was left bloodied with a broken leg.
As per an India Today report, the Uttar Pradesh Police took cognisance of the incident after the viral video and registered an FIR in the matter. The accused were yet to be identified.
This comes just months after a young man in UP’s Jhansi brutally beat a stray dog to death with a stick after tying it to a pole. According to the video, the man repeatedly struck the dog’s head with a stick while it was bound to the pole. He continued the assault until the dog died.
Reports suggested that the dog had consumed several goats, which enraged the young man and led him to kill the dog. Upon becoming aware of this video, the police took cognisance of the matter and began searching for the young man responsible for the dog’s death.
In another similar incident, the body of a friendly street dog was found in a gunny sack on Wednesday with its head decapitated from the body in Mumbai’s Vashi area.
