The 37th edition of the WWE SummerSlam is set to be hosted at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Ohio on August 3. RAW star The Miz will host the Premium Live Event (PLE) on his home soil. This is the second time in history that the SummerSlam is being held in Cleveland after 1996. Six championship matches will take place in this year’s event, which has been branded as “The Biggest Party Of The Summer”.
Cody Rhodes will put his WWE Universal Championship title on the line against The Bloodline leader Solo Sikoa. Reigning King of the Ring Gunther will face off against Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Liv Morgan will also defend her Women’s World Championship title, going head-to-head against Rhea Ripley. In the WWE Women’s Championship match, Nia Jax is set to challenge title holder Bayley. The US title will also be on the like, with defending champ Logan Paul taking on LA Knight. On the other hand, Bron Breakker will challenge Sami Zayn for the WWE Intercontinental belt.
Apart from these matches, a fight between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre will headline this year’s SummerSlam. For this bout, Seth “Freakin” Rollins will make a special appearance as a guest referee. The relationship between Punk and McIntyre has turned sour in recent times. The duo will look to settle their rivalry on the big stage.
