Kevin Owens did not feature in a battle at the Clash at the Castle but the WWE star still managed to leave an impact on the show. Following Cody Rhodes’ fight at the Clash at the Castle, Owens made his appearance. Owens and Randy Orton came out to save Cody from The Bloodline’s assault. While speaking about the Clash at the Castle match cards, Owens particularly talked about Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark. The Canadian professional wrestler even went on to admit that he feels “glad” about the fact that he will never have to face Shayna and Stark inside the ring.
“They are both pretty terrifying. I’m glad I don’t ever have to get in the ring with them,” Owens said to the Kickoff show panel ahead of WWE Clash at the Castle.
Stark and Baszler were involved in a title decider at the WWE Clash At The Castle 2024. Stark and Shayna took part in a triple threat fight for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill defended their title against the teams of Stark and Shayna and Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. Stark and Baszler ended up on the losing side and Fyre and Dawn emerged as the new Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Dawn hit Cargill with a German suplex and pinned Baszler to clinch the Women’s Tag Team Championship title.
Meanwhile, Orton recently made his return to WWE SmackDown and helped Owens in tackling The Bloodline. Following the show, Orton and Owens talked about their chemistry and bonding in a WWE digital exclusive video.
Recalling Orton’s move, Owens stated, as per 411 Mania, “It was a moral victory. Are we friends? Would you say that’s an accurate statement?” Responding to Owens, Orton said, “I think we’re getting there. We got a little ways to go.”
“Listen, out of nowhere is kind of my thing, so I figured tonight, we’re in Scotland, I love Scotland. Hell, Drew’s from Scotland, I love Drew, what can I say? I just figured I’d come all the way over here across the sea, and I would help my friend, acquaintance, buddy, whatever you want to call it,” Orton added.
The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa recently got the better of Owens in a main event of WWE SmackDown. Owens was primed to win the clash but Paul Heyman’s intervention played a key role in guiding Sikoa to a victory.
