A shopper couldn’t wrap her head around a price discrepancy she noticed on a top etween a brand’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) website and an e-commerce platform. Aakriti Bhalla claimed that the H&M top in the same colour and size was priced Rs 200 higher on Myntra compared to the brand’s own site. To substantiate her claim, she even shared screenshots in her post on X (formerly Twitter).
“Another reason why I have stopped shopping on Myntra: Same H&M top, available at Rs 799 on the brand’s D2C website, but at a markup of Rs 200 on Myntra. Mind it, there are no discounts, no offers on the brand’s website,” wrote Bhalla while sharing screenshots on X.
She added, “Not cool, Myntra.”

As per the screenshots, a dark beige V-neck bodysuit, which is inclusive of all taxes, is up on H&M’s website for Rs 799, while the exact same top is listed for Rs 999 on Myntra.

“Recently bought a product from Myntra. By chance opened the same product on Amazon for checking reviews before ordering additional quantities. Price of a single product on Myntra was exactly same as price of pack of 3 exact same items on Amazon,” claimed an individual.
Another shared their frustration, saying, “They won’t refund ‘platform fee’ on return of a item on basis of wrong size sent to me. Why should I pay for platform fee for their wrong action? Plus, platform fee FAQ didn’t mentioned that it’s a non-refundable in case of return due to wrong size.”
“I used to purchase a lot from Myntra till 2022. Their service is getting poor, quality of fake products and prices are more. I completely stopped once they sent me a fake Crocs,” expressed a third.
A fourth posted, “Thanks for letting me know I was planning to do my birthday shopping from Myntra now I would just go to the physical store or D2C site.”
“I’ve seen it many times: Kurtis, shoes, frocks, etc. on Flipkart have lower prices than on Myntra,” chimed in yet another Internet user.
