Tyres are made of rubber instead of stones, as rubber is easier to shape into a circular shape, offers traction and helps with braking.

One of the most stressful parts of owning a car is experiencing tyre punctures. You know how stressful it is to check for punctures and get them repaired. During such circumstances, you might have wished to have a tyre as hard as stone so that it never gets punctured. Well, looks like now your dreams may finally come true. A video has surfaced on the internet, where a car seems to have a tyre made of stone.

Generally, tyres are made of rubber instead of stones, as rubber is easier to shape into a circular shape, offers traction and helps with braking. Also, a stone tyre will not help a car move forward fast. The now-viral clip was uploaded on a page titled “Alligator Performance”. It opened with a zooming-in shot of a tyre, which looks like concrete shaped into one. The intext read, “How many miles should I get out of these tyres (sic)?” The video cuts to the next scene where these tyres are being tested on the car. The video shows a comment from a user who asked the admin to “do a burnout”. The car comes to a screeching halt and then the vehicle is given acceleration without moving it forward.

The caption read, “Those them Flintstone tires.” The comment section was filled with sarcastic comments. A user wrote, “Fred, I’m sorry to break it to you, they only have another 1k miles on them.” Another wrote, “Bro haven’t changed since pyramids were built.” A comment wrote, “Hit a pothole and everyone loses their tyres behind you. I like the dominance factor that holds.” Another chimed in, “Bro repairing roads with this one.” The video has garnered 5.8 million views on Instagram.

The page recently uploaded a video where a car’s tyre looks completely worn out with no visible treads. On the bald tyre, he can be seen making grooves using a circular saw blade to help the tyre regain friction and not slip on the road. The in-text read, “This hack will get me by until my next paycheck.”

What do you think of a stone tyre? Would you try it?

What's your reaction?
