A local YouTuber from Bihar became popular with his vlog on the emergency Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter landing. The helicopter, which was used for a flood relief operation in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, had to make an emergency landing due to bad weather. The helicopter landed in a flooded area, and the aircraft was left half submerged in water which only escalated the situation.
This incident took place when YouTuber Mukesh Joshi was visiting the location. Fortunately for him, the camera was rolling, and what followed has now gone viral. Monitoring the event, Joshi could be seen wading in floodwaters up to his chest while describing the situation with immense charisma. This made the footage all the more engaging since he was naturally charismatic and appeared to have a knack for speaking directly to the camera. Besides the details of the emergency landing that Joshi provided to the viewers, he also interacted with the local people, including the villagers who helped the stranded IAF officers.
The most notable part of the video is when Joshi speaks to a local man, who does not flinch and immediately helps the IAF crew. In his shaky but assertive voice, the man explained, “I would always risk my life to save our soldiers.” This raw form of journalism and frantic emotion portrayed by Joshi resonated with the viewers.
A user commented saying, “This is the journalism of the real journalist.”
Another user said, “Thank you for giving the news by risking so much life.”
“Everything is possible in Bihar,” read a comment.

The helicopter that was carrying four crew members was on an aerial relief mission when it encountered some complications. After the emergency landing, people from the nearby villages swam through the water to help evacuate the IAF team safely. In this case, their action quickly helped to secure the movement of the helicopter to a safer area without waiting for official rescue services to get to the scene.
Afterwards, it was verified by the officials that the helicopter had indeed touched down at the place which lies in the Sitamarhi sector in Aurai block where the land is waterlogged. Talking to PTI, SSP Rakesh Kumar said that the helicopter was coming from Darbhanga, where it had dropped essential commodities including food for some flood-affected regions.
“The helicopter made an emergency landing in a waterlogged area in Aurai block. All the occupants were IAF personnel and they were pulled out by locals by the time officials reached the spot,” the SSP told the news agency.
