New Delhi: Gionee, the current Guinness World Record holder for manufacturing world's thinnest smartphones, will unveil its new products at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona.
At the three-day event, which brings mobile industry's major companies and top management under one roof, Gionee is going to launch its new range of ultra-slim mobile phones.
Rumours are rife that the latest ultra-slim smartphone, dubbed Elife S7, is going to be the slimmest smartphone in the industry with just 4.6mm profile.
These smartphones will be unveiled by William Lu, president of Gionee Mobile, at their booth located in Hall 7 on March 2, which is the first day of the event.
Launched last year, at 5.1mm, the Elife S5.1 by Gionee was the world's thinnest smartphone until Oppo launched its 4.85 thin R5 smartphone in October - taking away the crown of the slimmest phone in the world.
The MWC 2015 is expected to see the curtains raising from many of such anticipated products including Samsung's next in its Galaxy range of smartphone with a three-sided display, Microsoft's affordable Lumia 1330, Sony's Xperia Z4 and HTC One's successor to the M8 among others.
