New Delhi: It is a full blown political battle between the Aam Admi Party and the Narendra Modi government after an ink-attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Alleging a massive security breach, the AAP said Bharatiya Janata Party conspired with the Delhi police.
The AAP has also demanded an answer from prime minister Narendra Modi over security breach at the Chief Minister's rally at Chhatrasal stadium in the national capital.
"Security is not something which we have asked for. Z+ security has been provided by the police on their own. It's a big conspiracy," said AAP spokesperson Ashutosh.
Questioning the security cover provided to the Chief Minister, another AAP spokesperson Sanjay Singh said, "How did the person get inside? They are saying Delhi is on high alert after Pathankot attack, is this high alert? After all this, BJP is not taking this seriously but trying to make fun."
The BJP countered the AAP's allegation and said that the party stage-managed this attack.
"They should rename AAP as 'All Antics Party'. We certainly condemn such incidents but we ask AAP to stop politicising it. We need to think why this keeps happening with AAP leaders, why only they are targeted," said BJP's GVL Narsimha Rao
Condemning the incident, Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit said, "I condemn this attack or any such attacks. This type of political culture is created by AAP and Kejriwal. AAP used to enjoy humiliating politicians. AAP has to blame itself, but it cannot blame others."
The woman who threw ink on Kejriwal has alleged that there was corruption in the distribution of CNG stickers during odd-even drive. She alleged that Transport Minister Gopal Rai and Kejriwal had refused to entertain her request for a meeting.
The woman was detained and released later on bail.
