Commuters have been advised to avoid going to Bahadurshah Zafar Marg from Daryaganj and to Asaf Ali Road from Guru Nanak Chowk as no heavy vehicles and buses shall be allowed on these roads

Traffic restrictions will be placed in the national capital on Wednesday in the view of ICC World Cup 2023 match between Australia and Netherlands at Arun Jaitely Stadium. Several roads are expected to witness traffic snarls from noon to midnight.

Commuters have been advised to avoid going to Bahadurshah Zafar Marg from Daryaganj and to Asaf Ali Road from Guru Nanak Chowk as no heavy vehicles and buses shall be allowed on these roads, ANI reported.

Traffic will be diverted/restricted on Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg.

The traffic police has advised people to avoid stretches from Rajghat to JLN Marg, JLN Marg from R/A Kamla Market to Rajghat, Asaf Ali Road from Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate, Bahadurshah Zafar Marg from Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk to Delhi Gate.

Those utilizing app-based taxi services and traditional taxis should utilize the service lane on Ring Road, extending from the IP Flyover to the Rajghat crossing, for both drop-off and pick-up purposes.

No Parking on These Roads

Vehicles are not allowed to be parked on Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, JLN Marg, and Ring Road from Rajghat to IP Flyover (both carriageways) on the match day. The police said vehicles parked on these roads shall be towed away and prosecuted as per law.

Restrictions in CP on Oct 29

In view of the Raahgiri Day event on October 29 at Inner Circle, Connaught Place, traffic regulations will be effective from 6 AM to 11 AM.

  • Entry of motorists in the inner circle will be restricted from 6 am to 11 am.
  • No vehicles will be allowed to halt or park anywhere in Connaught Place.
  • No vehicles will be allowed on any of the radial roads entering from Outer Circle to Inner Circle, CP.
