The Meta-owned instant messaging application WhatsApp is reportedly releasing a message reaction filtering feature for channels, making it easier for channel admins to see which of their contacts have reacted to channel updates.

“Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.23.3 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is rolling out message reaction filtering feature for channels,” WABetaInfo reported.

According to the report, a new filter when viewing the reaction list for channel updates is available to some beta testers. With this filter, channel admins can view individual reactions from their contacts, providing them with a new feature to get valuable insights into how their contacts are receiving and reacting to the content they share on their channels.

The report suggested that this feature brings an additional layer of interaction and feedback from your contacts when you share a new channel update as channel admins can now better understand which updates capture the attention of their contacts.

“We think that this information can also help channel admins in identifying the content that connects most effectively with their audience and contacts, allowing them to optimise their channel strategy to refine their future updates and engagement,” said WABetaInfo.

WhatsApp has also rolled out a redesigned interface with new colours and icons. However, it is available to a limited number of users for now.

With the tweaked interface, the Meta-owned instant messaging application is aiming to make the user experience more modern and visually appealing, since the app hadn’t received updates for the interface in quite some time.
