Vande Bharat: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Releases Images of Sleeper Coaches
Vande Bharat sleeper trains promise superior comfort and style for long-distance journeys. Railway Minister unveils a glimpse of the future.

The upcoming sleeper version of Vande Bharat trains is set to redefine long-distance travel with enhanced suspension and lighting, guaranteeing passengers the utmost comfort.

The unveiling of the first prototype train, set to depart from the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, is slated for next February.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, on Tuesday, provided a sneak peek into the interiors of the AC2 tier, offering a glimpse of what the future of train travel holds.

These sleeper coaches are meticulously crafted to ensure passengers’ well-being. The interiors have been carefully designed to cater to the evolving needs of travelers, offering spacious layouts and easy-to-climb staircases for those who prefer upper berths.

The inaugural version of these sleeper trains will have a total of 857 berths, with a whopping 823 berths reserved just for passengers. The remaining 34 will be for the dedicated staff who will ensure your journey is top-notch. Plus, each coach will have three restrooms instead of four, along with a mini pantry to keep you fueled on your adventure. These trains are tailor-made to pamper passengers traveling on Rajdhani trains.

Currently, the esteemed central government PSU, BEML, is gearing up to manufacture ten of these remarkable trains for ICF.

With 33 Vande Bharat trains currently operational, offering seating facilities across the nation, the future is set to bring an astonishing total of 75 Vande Bharat trains, each with enhanced seating arrangements, ensuring a luxurious journey for every traveler.
