UPPSC PCS Mains 2023: As per the official schedule, the general Hindi exam will be held today, September 26 in the first shift and the essay question paper in the second shift

UPPSC PCS Mains 2023: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) PCS Mains 2023 examination has begun today. The exam will go on till September 29. The exams are being held in two shifts every day — the first shift from 9.30 am to 1:30 pm and the second shift from 2 pm to 5 pm. A total of eight papers are being conducted for a total of 1500 marks.

As per the official schedule, the general Hindi exam will be held today, September 26 in the first shift and the essay question paper in the second shift. The general studies exam will be conducted in the first shift tomorrow, September 27, and the general studies second question paper in the second shift.

There general studies III exam will be held in the first shift on September 28 and the general studies IV exam in the second shift on the same day. The fifth question paper of social studies will be held in the first shift on September 29 and the sixth question paper of social studies will be conducted in the second shift.

A total of four exam centres have been identified in Prayagraj and one in Lucknow for the examination. As many as 3852 candidates will appear in the UPPSC PCS Mains 2023 exam. The commission had canceled the candidature of 153 candidates who were successful in the pre-examination. A representation was sought by September 12. A total of 4047 candidates were declared successful for the Mains examination. The preliminary examination was held on May 14. Out of 565459 candidates who applied for the preliminary examination, 345022 candidates appeared in the examination.

Through the recruitment drive, the commission intends to fill 254 positions overall. Those who clear the exam will be recruited for various positions which include sub-registrar, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Assistant Controller Legal Measurement (Grade II), Technical Assistant (Geology), Law Officer, Technical Assistant (Geophysics), Tax Assessment Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Superintendent of Jail, District Commandant Home Guards, Excise Inspector, and Deputy Jailor.
