The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) result 2023 for the August session. Candidates who took the exam can check the results on the official websites at ctet.nic.in, and cbseresults.nic.in. CBSE released the CTET 2023 preliminary answer keys on September 15. The last date to raise an objection to the answer key was September 18. Following a review of the answer key, CBSE has now released the result.
As per the marking scheme of CBSE CTET, for every correct answer, candidates will be awarded one mark. To successfully pass the exam, candidates belonging to the unreserved category must get at least 60 per cent, or 90 out of 150 marks. While students belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), and People with Disabilities (PWD) categories, must receive 55 per cent, or 82 out of 150 to pass the exam.

This year, over 29 lakh candidates had applied for CBSE CTET 2023. Out of the total, around 80 per cent of the candidates who registered for the exam appeared for it. As per the CBSE, from the total, 15,01,719 candidates registered for paper 1 (for classes 1 to 5), of which 14,02,184 were for paper 2 (for classes 6 to 8). The 17th edition of CTET was held in 3,121 examination centres throughout India in 136 cities. While 80 per cent of the registered candidates had appeared in the examination.
While paper 1 is conducted for teaching classes 1 to 6, paper 2 is held for those candidates who aspire to teach classes 6 and above. Those who successfully clear the exam will next have to apply to various schools that are hiring for teachers via the CTET 2023 exam score. The CTET 2023 scorecard is valid for a lifetime.
