Women’s Premier League auction Live Streaming: The second Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction will be held in Mumbai on Saturday, December 9. This year, it will be a mini-auction as the franchises have shared the list of players they have retained.
The five franchises of WPL – Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz have retained a combined total of 60 cricketers. 21 of those are the overseas players.
The teams have also released a combined total of 29 cricketers ahead of the WPL 2024 mini-auction. At the WPL 2024 mini-auction, 165 players are set to go under the hammer. Among them, 104 cricketers are from India. 56 capped players are also set to be in the auctions as well.
The second season of the WPL is expected to take place during the February-March window in 2024. Mumbai Indians, under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, had emerged victorious in the inaugural edition of the WPL. The Mumbai-based franchise managed to get the better of Delhi Capitals in the WPL 2023 final and secured the title with a win by seven wickets.
