Sidharth Shukla was one of the late Indian actors who gained immense fame from his stint in Bigg Boss season 13. His popularity was on par with Bollywood celebrities after he won this Hindi reality show. One of the evidence for his high popularity is the hike in his Bigg Boss fee. The actor reportedly increased his fees for Bigg Boss 14 by 122 per cent. The actor started his acting journey on TV in 2008. He debuted with the serial Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. During Bigg Boss 13, the actor used to charge Rs 9 lakh for each episode. According to the media reports, the actor also received Rs 40 lakh for winning the show. The accumulated earnings made by the late actor in the show were Rs 1.8 to 2 Crore.
After gaining popularity from the show, the makers decided to call Sidharth Shukla for the 14th season which started six months after the end of its previous season. This time, he was invited as a senior for the fellow contestants. He was called along with the other previous contestants, Hina Khan and Gauhar Khan. The actor reportedly charged Rs 20 lakh for each week to become a mentor in Bigg Boss 14. If compared with the 13th season, Siddharth Shukla Fee saw a hike of 122 per cent within six months. The actor was also offered numerous movies after his win at Bigg Boss.
Before he entered the Bigg Boss house, the actor was famous for his role in the superhit serial Balika Vadhu. The actor played the lead role of an IAS officer Shivraj. He gained fame through this serial. The actor also grabbed the headlines for his affair with actress Rashami Desai. Both participated in the Bigg Boss show and were seen in numerous arguments. The actor’s chemistry with Shehnaaz Gill was loved by the audience. The actor debuted in the film industry with the movie, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. It starred Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. Sidharth Shukla played the role of Angad Bedi in the movie. The performance of the actor was appreciated by the makers and audience. Sidharth Shukla died on September 2, 2021, due to a heart attack. He left the world at the age of 40 years.
