Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan To Begin Shooting For 'King' In May? Here's What We Know
SRK and Suhana are being trained for the action sequences in Mannat, as per the report.

After her OTT debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, Suhana Khan is gearing up for her first feature film. It was reported earlier that Suhana Khan will be teaming up with her father Shah Rukh Khan for her next film, titled King. The film will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh and Siddharth Anand will be overseeing the action. As per latest reports, the film will go on floors in May this year.

“Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh have been constantly in touch with Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan with multiple meetings from October 2023 to February 2024. Sujoy is meticulously working on the script with Sid and SRK. Designing world-class action sequences rests fully on Siddharth,” a source close to the development told Pinkvilla.

“The training is happening at Mannat and she (Suhana) is accompanied by her father, Shah Rukh Khan too in certain practice sessions. Trainers of international repute are coming together to train Suhana and SRK, as King will explore a slightly raw form of action,” the source added. “Sujoy has started casting for the ensemble cast as the idea is to take off from May 2024 and make it the big ticket offing from SRK in 2025,” the source mentioned.

Speaking about the film’s plot, a source had earlier told Pinkvilla, “The flavour of action in King will be very different from what SRK has done in Pathaan and Jawan. This one would be sleek with a lot of chase sequences. However, the core plot is emotional and driven by the story. It has lots of twists and turns, which is the reason why Sujoy has been bestowed with the responsibility of direction.”

The film will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment with Siddharth Anand’s Marflix Entertainment. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Dunki. He also has Tiger vs Pathaan in the pipeline.
