This news has sent Rajinikanth’s fans into a frenzy, as they eagerly await the chance to relive the magic of the superstar’s classic.
The Times of India reported that the makers announced the news on their social handle on Sunday. Here comes a super treat for superstar Rajinikanth fans in Andhra and Telangana. Enjoy Sivaji on the big screens in select theatres from December 9, 2023 as part of a weeklong celebration for his birthday.” To note, Sivaji The Boss was directed by S. Shankar and was originally released in 2007. The film is known for its powerful storyline, music, and Rajinikanth’s charismatic presence which left an indelible mark on fans.
The movie revolved around the fight against corruption and the pursuit of justice. Rajinikanth’s portrayal of a software engineer turned vigilante was met with widespread acclaim. It is worth mentioning here that the re-release of ‘Sivaji The Boss’ will also offer an enhanced viewing experience.
On the work front, Rajinikanth recently shared the first photo from the sets of his upcoming film, Thalaivar 170, and it featured his mentor Amitabh Bachchan. The Tamil superstar and the legendary Bollywood star are reuniting after 33 years for the film directed by T.J Gnanavel. The news of their reunion was confirmed by Lyca Productions a few weeks ago and now another viral picture of the two legendary stars has found its way on the internet.
In the snap, one can spot Amitabh Bachchan sitting on a revolving chair, in an office and Rajinikanth standing right beside him. The stellar duo seems to be engrossed looking at a cellphone which Big B is holding in his hands. His other hand has bandages wrapped around it. Amitabh Bachchan wore a smart white shirt and grey suit combo. On the other hand, Rajinikanth donned a brown shirt and white trousers. Apart from Rajinikanth and Amitabh, Thalaivar 170 also stars Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, Rana Daggubati and Fahadh Faasil. The film began filming in Kerala earlier this month.
