Shah Rukh Khan is all set to deliver his third film this year. We are talking about the Rajkumar Hirani-directorial Dunki, which is set to hit the cinemas on December 21. The advance booking of the film has started and has been showing good growth at the box office. The film also features Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles. Did you know that it was a dream for Vicky Kaushal to share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan? It surely has been ticked off his bucket list after Dunki. The Sam Bahadur actor once had his fanboy moment when he was in school. Vicky’s father, action director Sham Kaushal in 2022 walked down memory lane and shared an old photo of his sons from the sets of the 2001-film Asoka. In the picture, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen posing for the camera with a young Vicky and Sunny Kaushal. The photo has yet again resurfaced on the internet and is going viral.
Sham Kaushal shared the unseen photo after Vishnu Vardhan and Vicky won awards for Best Director and Best Actor for their respective films. On a long note, Sham shared that the photo was taken on the sets of Asoka in Film City (Mumbai) when Vishnu Vardhan was an assistant director of the film and Vicky was in the 8th standard.
“Nobody ever imagined that one day Vicky will join film line and in 2022 both of them will be winning Best Director and Best Actor Awards respectively for Shershah and Sardar Udham. Destiny and God’s blessings Vishnu Vardhan, Vicky Kaushal Rab di meher (sic),” Sham Kaushal concluded the caption.

In 2019, Vicky re-shared the same picture and attached half of the collage with him and Shah Rukh Khan sharing the stage at an award ceremony. He had then embedded the text which read, “Dreams do come true.”
During Dunki’s promotion, SRK shared an anecdote from shooting the classroom scenes in the film. He said that there is a particular scene where he has become Vicky Kaushal’s “nimbu brother.” He also revealed that Vicky used to jokingly say that he married Katrina Kaif too soon; if not, then he would have married SRK.
Shah Rukh Khan’s streak of blockbusters continues. As per the latest update, Rs 10.40 crore (excluding blocked seats) have been added via pre-booking sales at the box office for Dunki.
