Taapsee Pannu is all praises for his co-stars Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. Basking in love for her role in Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, the actress has now opened up on what she learned from both actors. In an interview with ANI, she noted how SRK transformed her views on paid marketing whereas Akshay taught her “ease of action.”
Speaking about Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu recalled a conversation between them wherein the actor convinced her about the idea of marketing. The actress said, “I was telling the other day how I don’t really believe in buying out people to talk good about me or write good stuff only. I remember talking about this to him and he was like ‘there are billboards, right? And you pay for the billboards for your ads, for your display, when you want to show it to the audience? So people, who want to be paid for saying good, for you, should be treated like billboards, they should be used as marketing tools’.”
Previously having no belief in paid marketing, Taapsee Pannu added that Shah Rukh Khan’s point of view was quite convincing. The star compelled her to start thinking of the people being paid to say good things about them as ‘billboards’ which, as per the actress, “only an extremely smart man can do.”
In the same conversation, Taapsee Pannu also spoke about her experience of working with Akshay Kumar. The duo have collaborated on four projects to date. Reflecting on what she learned from the actor, Taapsee shared, “Another thing I learnt from that man was how to be calm in adverse situations. I have never seen him get angry, never. He never raises his voice, never gets riled up, never gets worked up. Very calm. And I have not seen that man badmouthing anybody.”
Taapsee Pannu was recently seen alongside Akshay Kumar in Khel Khel Mein. The film co-starring Pragya Jaiswal, Ammy Virk and Vaani Kapoor failed to perform well at the box office. Besides the comedy-drama, Taapsee also had another release this month – Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba in which she reprised her role of Rani Kashyap from the film Haseen Dillruba. Joining the actress to entertain the masses were Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal who portrayed her husbands in the film.
