Sanghavi was born in Mysuru, to a professor, Dr DA Ramesh and a Kannada film actress, Ranjana, who is the daughter of actress Aarathi’s elder sister.

Kavya Ramesh, aka, Sanghavi, is an Indian actress and model known for her work predominantly in Telugu and Tamil languages. In the early 1990s and 2000s, she was ruling the box office and delivering hits at the box office. Her career spanned over 15 years and she has featured in more than 80 films which include Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. But, where is she now?

She was born in Karnataka’s Mysuru, to an ENT professor, Dr DA Ramesh and a Kannada film actress, Ranjana, who is the daughter of actress Aarathi’s elder sister. She studied at Marimallappa High School. It was in 1993 that she marked her debut with the Tamil film, Amaravathi, opposite Ajith Kumar. It opened to a positive response at the box office. Her first Telugu film was Kokkoroko. In 1994 she appeared in another Tamil film, Rasigan, starring Thalapathy Vijay and Vichithra. She marked her Kannada debut with Rayara Maga.

Actress Sanghavi has worked in films like Kannada films like Love 94, Diggajaru, Dheera, Hattoora Oedya, Nidhi, Anatharu and Indra. She starred in Tamil projects like Nattamai, Kattumarakaran, Muthukulikka Vaariyala, Lucky Man, Anbu Magan, Vishnu, Sindhu Bath, Mannukku Mariyadhai, Coimbatore Mappillai and others.

Apart from acting, she is an avid dancer and a badminton player. She tied the knot to an IT professional, Venkatesh, on February 3 2016 in Bengaluru. The couple also have a daughter named Chanvi, who was born in January 2020. In 2005, she had a nose accident in 2005 which she was travelling from Mysuru to Chennai. Her father had performed her corrective surgery. She marked her return to the silver screen in 2019 with a Kolanji, written by Naveen.

Sanghavi has also worked in television serials like Gokulathil Seethai, Savitri, Kalabhairava, and Thai Veedu. In 2019, she was seen on TV on the show, Jabardasth. Meanwhile, she was last seen in Kolanji, co-written and directed by Dhanaram Saravanan, produced by Naveen, and starring Kirubakaran, Samuthirakani, Sanghavi, Rajaji, and Naina Sarwar.
