Kannada actor Nenapirali Prem, known for portraying romantic characters, is gearing up for his upcoming untitled film. In the film, the actor is roped in to play the role of a police officer. Yesterday, on his birthday, the actor made the official announcement about his film. Featuring a tagline Be in Peace or He’ll pierce — Rebranding Prem 2.0, the makers unveiled the details along with a poster showcasing a gun.
Prem’s upcoming film will be the first project directed by Thejesh BK. After receiving directorial training a few years back, Thejesh has gained experience by working on advertisement commercials. Now, he is ready to take on the role of director for a cop crime suspense drama. Previously, the actor was seen in a police avatar in the film Shatru. Despite receiving rave reviews, the film failed to record a box office success.
Apart from Prem, Rangayana Raghu has been selected for an important role in the film. The movie, tentatively titled PK 28, will be produced by Geethanjali under Pentrix Entertainments. Casting for the female lead and other roles will be completed soon.
Vasuki Vaibhav, Anand Meenakshi, and Harish Komme are set to join forces for the film, serving as the music director, cinematographer, and editor, respectively. The team is preparing to commence shooting officially by the end of April.
His latest release Premam Poojyam, was a romantic drama that received substantial funding. He played the role of a cardiologist who sadly dies from broken heart syndrome after his quest for happiness with his beloved ends in tragedy.
Soon after the success of Premam Poojyam, there were announcements about another movie featuring Prem—a Rs 400-crore biopic about the life of Field Marshal KM Cariappa. However, there has been no update about the progress of this project.

The film garnered praise from both audiences and critics alike. It was declared a box office hit. Soon, he is going to star in upcoming films including Rowdy Fellow and an untitled film with Keerthi.
