Self-proclaimed critic and troll specialist Kamaal R Khan added a new twist to the Ajay Devgn Vs Karan Johar Bollywood saga which was reported first by CNN-News18.
After Ajay Devgn claimed that Johar had paid KRK Rs 25 lakhs to criticize Devgn’s Shivaay, KRK,m in series of tweets, claimed he was never paid by Karan Johar to criticize Devgn's upcoming launch Shivaay which is slated to release on the same day as Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'. On Thursday night Devgn had tweeted an audio clip in which Khan had mentioned that was bribed by Johar while speaking to Shivaay co-producer Kumar Mangat.
A day after CNN-News18 reported the developments, Kamaal spoke to the media on Friday evening claiming that it was not Johar but Devgn who tried to bribe him.
“Devgn is trying to target KJo by keeping the gun on my shoulder. I had said KJo gave me money to escape that conversation with Kumar, it wasn't true. Then Kumar said he'd give me money if I praised Shivay and criticized Kjo's film," the Deshdrohi actor said.
“Ajay is dependent on critics for his film. He should fight with Karan Johar, I should not be dragged in this issue. People are afraid of me but I am not afraid of anyone. I speak the truth," KRK added.
Asking why Devgn was so affected by his views, KRK said he was free to give his opinion on anything he wishes to. “When Action Jackson was released Kumar Mangat took me for a special screening and asked me to say good things about the film, but I wrote what I thought about the film. I said that it was a horrible film," KRK added.
