Dear BTS ARMY, secure your light sticks and prepare the tissue box because the countdown for Jin’s return has officially begun! This isn’t just any comeback; it is a musical return. According to reports, the eldest member of the sensational South Korean band BTS is set to bring his solo album soon. Despite being away, Kim Seok-jin, known as Jin is trying to ensure our playlists remain active. His 2024 comeback is poised to shatter streaming records. Daishin Securities, a Korean news outlet, recently published an article discussing HYBE’s market standing after the septet’s military enlistment.
The research company believes that the company won’t face any damages in the upcoming year as BTS members are expected to continue releasing new music. According to their research, BTS plans to drop more than three solo albums in 2024. These include two solo albums from recently enlisted members, namely the group’s leader RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook.
Adding to the much anticipated musical extravaganza is the debut solo album of BTS’s eldest member, Jin who is anticipated to be discharged from the military in June 2024.

Korean news outlets are reportedly describing Jin’s upcoming album as the first sign of the K-pop renaissance, marking the beginning of the members’ return and resumption of activities. It’s an understatement to say that the level of anticipation is difficult to contain.
Lim Soo-jin, a researcher at Daishin Securities shared HYBE LABELS plans while the BTS members are serving in the military. “BTS mentioned the plans they had prepared to minimise the period of military service in their communication with fans before enlistment,” he said. He further informed that contrary to the initial concerns, next year’s album performance will have a minimal impact on the period of military service.
However, an official announcement by BIGHIT MUSIC or HYBE LABELS about Jin’s album is still awaited.
ARMY’s speculations surrounding the album’s concept and tracklist increase, given Jin’s reputation for a versatile discography. Having delivered emotionally charged performances like Epiphany and breaking records with the meme-worthy Super Tuna, the excitement for the new year following the announcement of Jin’s solo album is very high.
Having enlisted for mandatory military service in December 2022, Jin was the first among all BTS members to start on this journey. Recently promoted to corporal due to his exceptional performance, he is slated for discharge from national service on June 12, 2024. The stage is set, the countdown continues, and BTS ARMY eagerly awaits the musical homecoming of their beloved artist.
