As a curtain raiser to the festival, Prakriti Foundation has invited scripts for the crash test and also directors and actors to register for performing in the Crash Test Drama. The last day for submitting scripts is April 10. The entry fee for each script is `50 and all plays must be of 10-minute duration or below. The selected scripts will be presented as moved readings on April 20 by the directors and actors who had registered. Following this, the audience and judges will vote for their favourite plays. The crash test presents a great opportunity for actors, directors and script writers to work and develop the play based on the inputs given by the audience and the jury.Forms can be downloaded from www.shortandsweet.org and must be submitted with the script. Providing a platform for actors, writers and directors to create high-quality work in professional theatre, the festival offers a collaborative environment where established practitioners may pass on knowledge to others in the theatre arts.
