Remove fear from public psyche: CII

PUDUCHERRY: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has urged the government of Puducherry to provide security and protection to all public and private properties, industrial establishments and to remove the fear from the employees and managements of various organisations.In a statement T T Ashok, chairman, CII-Southern Region, expressing  deep shock over the recent labour unrest in Yanam,  urged the government to constitute a high level committee to inquire into this very regrettable and tragic incident at Regency Ceramics. The CII feels that such incidents will have a negative impact not only on Puducherry, but also across the country, he said.  He also expressed condolences for K C Chandrasekhar, president (operations & maintenance), Regency Ceramics, and M S Murali Mohan, trade union leader.
