Project on coconut farming

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A programme to renovate coconut farming in the state is being implemented in the district by the Coconut Development Board in association with local self-government institutions. Felling of diseased coconut trees to plant saplings and to increase the immunity of trees are various components of the programme. A meeting as part of the third phase of the programme would be held at Parassala on December 19 at 10 a m. Local representatives of Aryamkodu, Neyyatinkara and Parassala blocks would attend the function, said a release by the Farm Information Bureau.
