BANGALORE :  The sleuths of Women and Narcotic Squad of Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested a Nigerian national for allegedly selling narcotic drugs  at Mahadevapura’s Udayanagar on Friday.The accused has been identified as Oniyamma Innocent (29), a native of Lagos City, Nigeria. The CCB police team under the leadership of B Dayananda, Joint Police of Commissioner, (Crime-East division) (Offence) seized drugs worth more than Rs 5 lakh including 73 gram cocaine, 0.4 gram Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) blotter paper and 5 gram Methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA) powder and 0.8 gram of MDA capsule from the accused.It is said that the accused came to India in 2009 and carried out business in a garments export company and was said to have incurred losses. With a motive to cope up with the losses, Oniyamma established a network with the help of his friend Chinnode and plunged into the narcotic business in Mumbai. Police said that Oniyamma’s visa expired in May 2009 and he was roaming in without any valid visa.”Oniyamma came to Bangalore last month and rented a house at Mahadevapura and was involved in the sale of drugs,” they said.A complaint has been registered against the accused at the Mahadevapura Police Station for allegedly selling drugs and for his stay in the country without valid visa. The police said that they are in search of Chinnode.
