New Delhi: The National Film Development Corporation has selected six projects for the Screenwriters' Lab, which is going to take place in Toronto.

The six projects have been selected from more than 350 applications. The projects will be discussed in Toronto before being sent to Goa where they will be presented in the annual Film Bazaar Co-Pro Market.

The six projects are:

Daily - Nikhil Mahajan

Dark Waters - Bela Negi

Mother Goddess Coaching Classes - Varun Grover

My Brother the Salesman and I - Shanker Raman

T for Taj Mahal - Ashish Aryan, Sachin Ladia

The Spark - Rajesh Jala

Sachin Ladia, whose project 'T for Taj Mahal' has been selected for the workshop talked about the theme of his film, "My film is about literacy and education in remote villages of northern states in our country, in fact the same is true for almost every remote part of our country. The will of our protagonist is the USP of our film. He proves that if you have will then you can achieve everything in life."

Ashish, the co-writer of 'T for Taj Mahal', belongs to Kanpur and he has seen the remotest of rural areas since his childhood. He always wanted to tell the stories of relatively backward places, "I have seen the worst of situations where only education could have been the life saver. We have tried to present it as a tool to overcome the grim circumstances."

What's your reaction?
