Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Monday ordered setting up of an integrated court complex at Jaggampettai village near Tindivanam at a cost of Rs 17.31 crore. The complex, coming up in 8.15 acres of land, would house all courts and residential quarters for the judges of these courts.
At present, Sessions Court- I, two fast track courts, two sub courts and two district civil courts are functioning in different places in Tindivanam with space crunch. Besides, Additional Sessions Court Judges (Fast Track Court I and II), Principal Sub Judge and Additional Sub Judge here have no residences.
Considering the convenience of the public and the judiciary, the CM ordered construction of integrated court complex which would have court halls, offices and residential quarters for the judges.
The CM has been according priority to construct own buildings for all courts in the State and new court complex at Tindivanam is one of the steps towards achieving the objective.
