The Rajasthan Government on Tuesday accepted the resignations of Additional Advocate Generals and government lawyers who put in their papers after the change of guard in the state. After the BJP formed the government following its victory in the recent assembly polls, the legal officials had submitted their resignations but authorities had asked them to make stop-gap arrangements till new appointments were made.
The resignations of Additional AG Manish Singh, Advocate on Record Pragati Nikhra, and Panel Lawyer Amit Bhandari appointed in the Supreme Court were accepted by the state government, according to an official release in Jaipur. Similarly, the resignations of Additional AGs Rameshwar Lal Jangid, Anand Purohit, and G R Poonia, appointed in Rajasthan High Court at Jodhpur, were accepted.
The resignations of Indraj Saini, N A Nacqvi, Major R P Singh, and Dinesh Yadav (all Additional AG), and eight Government counsellors appointed in the high court's Jaipur bench were accepted.
