Government Not Expecting Cops' Protest: Karnataka Home Minister
Karnataka home minister confirmed that all the demands of the police force will be considered. He added they have decided to withdraw their leave application and not go on any protest.

A week after Karnataka police force threatened to go on a nationwide strike on June 4, state Home Minister G Parameshwara said the cops have called off their strike.

He added they have decided to withdraw their leave application and not go on any protest.

Home Minister G Parameshwara said the cops will come back to work from now. He further said that one day holiday in a week in their work schedule has been made compulsory.

The constables were protesting for pay parity, better housing, proper leave and health benefits.

Earlier last week, Karnataka State Police Association president Shashidhar had asked police constables to go on one day mass casual leave in protest against increasing political interference, low salaries and poor working conditions.
