The cyber crime police on Monday arrested two persons on charges of harassing a girl by sending abusive mails and morphing nude pictures to the girl.
According to the police, Upendra, a native of Hyderabad, made friends with a 20-year-old girl from Visakhapatnam city through the Facebook. They have been meeting in the Orkut for the last several months. The two also shared their photos in the Facebook and started talking over the phone. Recently, Upendra proposed to marry the girl but shel spurned his proposal. Enraged at this, Upendra bore a grudge against the girl and started sending abusive mails.
Surprisingly, Upendra’s father Tirupathi Rao called the girl’s father and demanded Rs 25 lakh to end the relationship.
He threatened the girl’s father saying that he would circulate the girl’s photographs to his relatives if he failed to pay the amount. Unable to bare the mental tension from father and son, the girl lodged a complaint with the police on October 3.
