This is the 2nd film in the rebooted series of the franchise inspired by Pierre Boulle's novel 'Planet Of The Apes'

This is no monkey business, seriously.

The second film in the rebooted series of the franchise inspired by Pierre Boulle's 1963 French novel 'Planet Of The Apes', picks up from where the 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' left us.

Directed by Matt Reeves and starring Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, and Keri Russell in the leading roles, the film revolves around a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar, the first ape who was a part of the experimentation.

There is a post-apocalyptic calm -- the surviving humans are living in small, secluded colonies, and the intelligent breed of apes have learnt to hunt, ride horses, build houses and live in a civilised manner in the forests.

Now, the fragile calm in the ever-colliding universes is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier.

Will the rule 'survival of the fittest' apply in the clash between humans and their ancestors? Will it be a war to determine the Earth's most dominant species? Prajakta Hebbar of IBNLive Movies is in the theatre to find out.
