Clear all Your Dues Before Reclaiming Weapons, Bhind Administration Tells People
One of the farmers, Radheshyam Patidar, said that license fee already has been hiked to Rs 3,000 per annum and now this additional burden would make us abandon our arms.

Bhind: The Bhind district administration in Madhya Pradesh has ordered license arms holders, who deposited their weapons in the police stations ahead of Ater by-poll, to clear all dues before getting their guns back.

The dues could be related to banks, cooperatives societies or other government institutions.

The arms-holders are required to furnish no dues certificates before they reclaim their guns from police stations.

Even if nobody has any kind of dues, he is still needed to produce no dues certificates.

The order has put weapons’ owners in a fix as most of them are farmers who already faced hassles due to high license renewal fee.

One of the farmers, Radheshyam Patidar, said that license fee already has been hiked to Rs 3,000 per annum and now this additional burden would make us abandon our arms.

Arms owners claim that no dues certificates could cost them at least Rs 2,000 as different institutions charge Rs 150 to 200 for issuing these certificates.

“A list of defaulters having old dues payable to banks, municipality or power distribution company is being prepared. Arms would be returned only after they clear dues,” said district collector Illaiya Raja T.
