London: It didn't quite turn out to be a good day for Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang as the two Indian marksmen missed the final after scoring an identical 596 in the Shooting World Cup here on Saturday.

In the men's 10m Air Rifle event, Bindra finished 10th while Narang finished 12th in the shoot-off at the Royal Artillery Barracks, the shooting venue for the upcoming Olympic Games. Beijing Olympic gold medallist Bindra shot a sequence of 99, 100, 99, 99, 100, 99 in the qualification, while Narang's series read 99, 100, 99, 99, 99, 100.

France's Piasecki Pierre Edmond, who shot 701.6 (598 +103.6), won the gold medal, while Rikhter Sergy of Israel bagged the silver by scoring 701.1 (597 + 104.1). The bronze went to Belarus' Charheika Illia, who shot 700.3 (598 + 102.3).

Satyendra Singh, the other Indian in the fray, finished 81st after shooting 577. Heena Sidhu had earlier missed the final by one point after she shot 384 in women's air pistol. Shweta Chaudhary was placed 16th while Annu Raj Singh finished 22nd.

In men's air pistol, Amanpreet Singh and Omkar Singh shot an identical 575 while in rapid fire, Vijay Kumar was placed 50th in a field of 73.
