From Rihanna’s electrifying performance on Day 1 to Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg showing up in jungle-themed clothes on Day 2, the Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar are making headlines for their standout moments. There are more on the way with performances by world-renowned illusionist David Blaine and top Indian artistes such as Arijit Singh, Ajay-Atul and Diljit Dosanjh lined up for Saturday.
Bollywood celebrities, cricketers, sports stars, heads of states and business tycoons from India and abroad have descended onto the Reliance township for the three-day pre-wedding event of billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani and his fiancee Radhika Merchant. While Anant is the younger son of Reliance Industries Ltd chief managing director Mukesh Ambani and philanthropist Nita Ambani, Radhika is the younger daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant.

Bill Gates poses with Mark Zuckerberg for ‘Walk on the Wild Side’ event at Vantara
For Day 2, the theme was ‘A Walk on the Wild Side’, perfectly aligned with the new Reliance Foundation Vantara initiative helmed by Anant Ambani. Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan were all smiles as they posed with Mukesh Ambani and Akash Ambani for the event. The Meta founder even posed with Bill Gates in his animal print shirt paired with white trousers.
For the grand pre-wedding celebrations, which began on Friday (March 1), several top celebrities and business leaders included Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, popstar Rihanna, former US president Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka, badminton champion Saina Nehwal, cricketers Rashid Khan and Suryakumar Yadav, former cricketer Zaheer Khan and Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor among others.
Gautam Adani arrives
Business magnate Gautam Adani arrived for the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, and was spotted at the Jamnagar airport on Saturday evening.
‘A Walk on the Wildside’ with ‘jungle fever’ as the suggested dress code and ‘Mela Rouge’, a potpourri of desi activities in the guests’ favourite south Asian attires, were the major themes on Saturday.
Rihanna rocks the stage on Day 1, says ‘thank you for having me’
In her first performance in India, pop star Rihanna set the stage on fire on Day 1. The international music sensation, who belted out hit songs such as ‘Diamonds’, ‘Where Have You Been’, ‘Rude Boy’ and ‘Pour It Up’, had Indian film celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan-Gauri Khan, Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone, Shreya Ghoshal and Shiamak Davar grooving to her tunes. Dressed in a shimmery body-hugging fluorescent green and pink outfit, Rihanna put up her best moves and also interacted with the audience at the grand event. The 38-year-old singer-songwriter thanked the Ambanis for making her a part of the family affair.
“Thanks to the Ambani family I’m here tonight in honour of Anant and Radhika. Thank you for having me here. God bless your union. I wish you the best. Congratulations,” she said. As the prelude of her song ‘We Found Love’ played, Rihanna asked the audience members if they believed in love. “Make some noise for love right now. Send some extra love to the bride. It’s my honour to be here and I want you to put your hands together like this,” the multiple Grammy winner said before singing the popular track.
The Ambani family presented Rihanna with a bouquet and posed for the shutterbugs together after her performance.
Later, actor Janhvi Kapoor shared a reel of her shaking a leg with Rihanna on her song ‘Zingaat’ from her debut film ‘Dhadak’. “This woman is a goddess. Stop it goodbye,” Kapoor captioned the video.
Dressed in a black tuxedo with golden dragonflies embroidered on it, Zuckerberg was also spotted posing with Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant on Day 1, for which the theme was ‘Evening in Everland’. The event also saw former US president Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka, Adar Poonawalla and his wife Natasha Poonawalla, cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev.
Other well-known film personalities spotted were Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan among others.
Prime Minister of Qatar Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, King and Queen of Bhutan, former President of Bolivia Jorge Quiroga, ex-PM of Australia Kevin Rudd, former Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper and ex-Prime Minister of Sweden Carl Bildt are also expected to attend the grand function.
